Design Philosophy

My approach to design is grounded in simplicity and precision. I am a detail-oriented, efficient, and on-time designer who thrives on minimalism. I believe in stripping away anything unnecessary and focusing on what truly matters. Every design decision I make is purposeful and intentional.

When working on brand identities, I start by designing in black and white, ensuring the concept works in its most basic form before considering colour. This guarantees adaptability and impact across all applications—whether on print, digital platforms, or merchandise. Once the foundational elements are set, I carefully introduce colour to enhance and elevate the identity.

I work closely with a select number of clients at a time, ensuring every project gets the focus it deserves. My attention to detail is second to none, and I love engaging with my clients through workshopping ideas, allowing them to share their passions firsthand. This collaborative approach ensures each brand identity isn’t just well-designed—it’s a true reflection of the business and the people behind it.

With 24 years of experience as a graphic designer, product designer, and art director, I specialise in brand identity design for established businesses looking to elevate their brands. I’ve worked independently, in design studios, and for non-profit organisations, refining my expertise in creating impactful brands.

My professional journey began when I had the privilege of working alongside one of Australia's most esteemed designers, Brian Sadgrove. His mentorship shaped my approach to design, and throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work in Melbourne, London, and Sydney—cities that have influenced my design thinking and creative process.
